Surprisingly even though I have written this book I'm not much of a foodie. I love food but I'm always busy with friends, school and sport and can't really be bothered spending too much time or effort cooking. That doesn't mean that I want to settle for average food, I want to eat great tasting food that is good for me.

I live in New Zealand with my parents and two brothers - one older, one younger. I go to school and am studying general subjects like History, economics, geography and English. My favourites are speech and drama. In a couple of years I want to go to university - maybe to study law and communications.

My favourite sports are hockey and tennis - I play and coach both.

I sponsor a child in Zambia, his name is Damsen. Part of my motivation to write this book is that I want to make a difference in third world countries so I use part of the proceeds from this book to help others.

What’s really cool

I love spending time with family and friends, and I love a good laugh. I’m a summer girl so time in the sun with ice cream in my hand and hanging out with friends is my idea of a good time!

What’s not so cool

Getting up early to go to school. Dad’s cooking. My older brother hogging the phone for hours at a time.

My music

I love all sorts of music – it can get me in the mood for cooking up a storm! Tell me what helps you! I’d love to grow my collection of music to cook to.
